Yippee!

Well we had a great show, Ollie's first daughter made Champion on Saturday and gained 4 of the 6 Best of Breeds, although she has great curl she also has great type, with a lovely open expression and brilliant substance, especially for an 18 month old female who still hasn't had kittens yet!

Pole dancing Eddie (Lelaurier Limited Edition) also had a great show with 7 finals overall, a couple of judges had seen him in December and couldn't believe how much he had grown, it was only his pole dancing antics that gave him away as the same cat! Another judge said he was a future star and if his half siblings are anything to go by he most certainly will be.

Clair and Chris brought Sunny (Lelaurier Burntorange - Cinnamon SR) out on the Sunday, it is fantastic to see how well this girl has matured and she now has cheeks! For such a dainty girl she managed 2 Best of Breeds based on her type, she didn't final but that will come.
The best bit though is Clair and Chris' alter boy Bud (Lelaurier Cowboy Boots) after getting a 2nd Best on Saturday afternoon we did all wonder whether he was cursed to always be the bridesmaid, he has had Bests before but they were before he had enough points for Quad, well Sunday morning changed all that, with a lot of teasing and winding up Bud was finally awarded Best shorthair alter by Jean Marc Lagarde making this gorgeous lump of a boy a Supreme Grand Champion Alter!!!!!!! Bud is the first UK bred SH alter to do this for the Selkirk breed and my second Supreme Selkirk. I really couldn't be more pleased with the way our breeding programme is going, onwards and upwards!

New Year

Well, it's January and no the floor wasn't finished for Christmas but it's very nearly there!!
Cali's Selkirk kittens had a great time trying to remove everything off the tree, whilst Lucky tried to kill it. Harmony's boys were a bit more laid back about it all and satisfied themselves with chewing the lower branches.
Cali's boys are just sooooo lovely, great big hunks of purr and her little lady is such a sweetheart too. We are delighted to hear that Edie has settled herself right in with Pam and given her the full Lelaurier experience!!
We have a lovely new home for Thor and he will be leaving us in a week, it may have taken some time but the right homes always do turn up and I know he will be very happy there. So we just have to find that perfect home for Spring now.
We have never been ones to just sell our babies to whoever wants them, the homes have to be right and we are quite happy to keep them until that is found, even if they do eat us out of house and home in the process!
Just before Christmas our gorgeous new addition joined us, Sassy or Catbalu Delicious is a Chocolate Tortie British carrying the Cinnamon gene. Her dad is our own bred Simba that Dee owns and her mum is Dee's wonderful Champion girl Emma, who also happens to be Joshy's mum so Sassy is a very special girl to us.

Sully and Gracie have now been neutered, Sully is staying here with us and Gracie has a wonderful quiet home that she is leaving for tomorrow, it will suit her perfectly and I am sure she is going to enjoy the one to one fuss she will be getting, thanks to her new mum Kate for giving her the home she needs.
We are showing in a couple of weeks time and will also have the American Curl kittens out on exhibiton, so here we go again!
